Church of Sant Antoni Maria Claret of Vic
The church of Sant Antoni Maria Claret of Vic, in the academicist style, is located on Sant Antoni Maria Claret Street, in the centre of the city of Vic.
The church of Sant Antoni Maria Claret of Vic was designed by the architect Josep Maria Ribas and finished by Manuel Ribas. This church was built between 1957 and 1970.
This church has a spectacular façade, very ornate and with a wide entrance door. This entrance door is flanked by Corinthian columns with an architrave and a split pediment above it. On this pediment there is an image of Father Claret. On both sides of this entrance door there are empty niches.
Above the entrance door there is a semicircular pediment that marks a narrow part of the façade. Classicist decoration and musical angels can be seen at this point.
The church of Sant Antoni Maria Claret of Vic consists of a single nave with seven side chapels. Each chapel has an orthogonal ceiling. In addition, these chapels have a semicircular arch and are flanked by Corinthian pilasters.
