In the Vicenç Casanovas Square, in the town centre of Vilassar de Mar, you can see a small Washhouse of Vilassar de Mar.
During the 19th and 20th centuries, a series of washing places were built in different Catalan towns and villages. These were public places for families to wash their clothes.
The Washhouse of Vilassar de Mar, which is located in the Casanovas Square, is small in size. It has only two small pools and is built with masonry. The most striking feature of this laundry room is its decoration. This decoration is made with the brittle technique.
