Arenys de Mar is a municipality located in the Maresme region, next to the city of Barcelona! This municipality is also located next to the Mediterranean Sea.
Originally, Arenys de Mar was a fishermen’s neighbourhood of Arenys de Munt. It did not become a municipality until 1599, when Gascó de Montcada, Viscount of Cabrera, gave it the title of municipality.

In the town centre of Arenys de Mar, specifically in Riera del Bisbe Pol Street, 58-60 in Arenys de Mar, two buildings with a marked noucentista style have been preserved.
These two buildings consist of a ground floor, two upper floors and a roof terrace.
The construction of these two buildings follows a symmetrical axis with two openings on each floor. On the first floor, both buildings have a balcony running the width of each building. These balconies have two exits each. On the first floor, there are two individual balconies on each building.
The most striking features of these two buildings are the wrought-iron elements of the railings on all the balconies.
