Originally, Arenys de Mar was a fishermen’s neighbourhood of Arenys de Munt. It did not become a municipality until 1599, when Gascó de Montcada, Viscount of Cabrera, gave it the title of municipality.

This building consists of a ground floor, two upper floors and an attic. Both on the ground floor and on the first floor, there are two openings, while on the first floor there are 4 windows with semicircular arches.
The most striking feature of this building is the wrought-iron work with floral decoration. These elements can be seen on the balcony railing on the first floor and on the window railing on the ground floor.
Also noteworthy is the strip of green glazed tile that divides the first and first floors. In addition, in the attic there are three ventilators with green glazed tiles and plant motifs.
