Masseguer Campins Sepulchre
The cemetery of Arenys de Mar is located in the Salvador Espriu Square, right next to the town centre of Arenys de Mar. Inside the cemetery there are a large number of artistic sepulchral elements. Among others, the Masseguer Campins Sepulchre is worth mentioning.
The Masseguer Campins Sepulchre, in a marked Noucentista style, was sculpted by Josep Llimona in 1922. In this sepulchre we can see, sculpted, a female figure seated on some steps. This figure also rests on a sarcophagus in the shape of a bathtub. One of the characteristics of this sculpture is that it conveys great serenity.
It can be seen how the Masseguer Campins Sepulchre has a marked noucentista style. It is worth noting how the forms of the girl, and the folds of the tunic she wears, are much more realistic.
