Fishing houses of the lake of Banyoles
One of the characteristics of the lake of Banyoles are the different noucentist fishing houses on the shore.
During the 19th century, different promenades were planned around the lake of Banyoles. This urban reform led the local bourgeoisie to promote the construction of small fishing houses in a marked noucentista style.
Today, these fishing houses are one of the iconic images of Banyoles. Don’t miss them!
In 1931, Banyoles Town Council prohibited the construction of new fishing houses around the lake of Banyoles.
