The Sanctuary of the Virgin dels Munts is located in the municipality of Sant Agustí de Lluçanès. This church, together with the guesthouse, is on top of a hill next to Sant Boi de Lluçanès.
The first mention of this church dates back to 1170. Since this mention, this building has been reformed on different occasions. The current building was built during the year 1700, as indicated by the lintel of the entrance door.
The current church is formed by a single nave, with a roof made with a ribbed vault. On the left side of the main façade there is a tower bell tower, which can be accessed from inside the church. The main door is protected by a portico that also communicates with the inn.
Although this building dates from the end of the 17th century, the oldest element preserved in this church is the image of the Virgin. We assume that this image is Romanesque, and was made during the thirteenth century.
From this church, you can also enjoy one of the most spectacular views of the Plana de Vic, as well as the Pyrenees.
