In the urban centre of Mataró, in the Maresme region, specifically in Riera Street, 46, we can see a building with a large Gothic window.
This building at Riera Street, 46, was built during the 16th century, although at the beginning of the 20th century it was renovated by the architect Josep Puig i Cadafalch.
The most striking feature of this building is the large central window located between the first and second floors. This window, in Gothic style, is a geminated window. The lintel is worked in such a way that it forms two ogee arches with sculpted lobes. Originally, a small column subdivided the window, but this has disappeared. The window’s duster is finished off with sculptures in the line of the imposts, as well as a sculpture of Saint Magdalene in the centre.
