Inside the cemetery of Arenys de Mar, located in Salvador Espriu Square, next to the town centre of Arenys de Mar, in the Maresme region, we can see the Pantheon of Ignàsia Tarré, also known as the pantheon of the Vinardell-Tarré couple.
This chapel was designed by the architect Antoni Rovira Rabassa, in 1887. It was built with Montjuic stone and white marble. The instigator of this pantheon was Ignàsia Tarré to honour her late husband, Jaume Vinardell.
This pantheon is of Neo-Byzantine style, and we can emphasize the decoration of the walls as well as the pinnacles of the facade. We can also highlight the wrought iron grille of the entrance door, as well as the curved gables on the sides.
Inside the pantheon there are different stained glass windows representing the owners’ patterns.
