The Casa del Capellà is located at Montserrat Street, 17, in the town centre of Vilassar de Mar, in the Maresme region.
The Casa del Capellà was built at the end of the 19th century, and is one of the representations of the Indians’ houses in Vilassar de Mar. Originally, this building was built by a ship captain, although later it was also the house of the priest of the municipality.
This building consists of a ground floor, a first floor, an attic, and a shed.
The façade of the building stands out for its three openings per floor, with a large balcony on the first floor that runs the entire width of the building. We can also highlight the upper balustrade that crowns the building.
The eclectic style can be seen with the triangular gutters, and the plaster of the façade, that represents ashlars. Also, we can see the use of wrought iron for the building’s gates.
