Can Nyol is a house located in Sant Josep Street, 27, in the town centre of Vilassar de Mar, in the Maresme region.
We do not know the origins of this house, but it was reformed at the end of the 19th century, beginning of the 20th century, by the municipal architect Eduard Ferrés Puig. In this reform, Can Nyol took on the appearance of a modernist style.
Can Nyol is a building formed by a ground floor, a first floor and an attic. The entrance door is formed by a segmental arch.
The entire façade is decorated with sgraffito of undulating forms, together with coloured tiles that mark each floor of the building. We can also observe tiles under the window sills, which draw geometrical shapes of different colours.
In addition, the lintels and contours of the openings on the two upper floors of Can Nyol are formed with blue tiles.
