Gleva Telegraph Tower
The Gleva Telegraph Tower is located on the outskirts of La Gleva, in the municipality of Les Masies de Voltregà.
The Gleva Telegraph Tower, which was built in the mid-19th century, formed part of the Manresa-Vic-Girona military optical telegraphy line. This was a system for communicating, quickly, any relevant information in order to organise the defences.
This is a square tower, with a height of 4 floors. The entrance door is on the ground floor, and there are small windows on the different floors. The telegraph mechanism would have been installed on the roof of this tower. At present, therefore, the Gleva telegraph tower is unoccupied.

Les Masies de Voltregà is located in the centre of the Plana de Vic, in the county of Osona. To reach this municipality you can do so via the C-17 and/or BV-4608 roads.
