Church of Santa Maria of Castellcir
The church of Santa Maria of Castellciris located in the town centre of Castellcir.
This church was built in 1962 as a result of the urban growth of Castellcir. With this growth, it was decided to build a new parish church in the centre of the town.
The church of Santa Maria of Castellcir has a single nave, where the apse is enclosed by a stained-glass window with an abstract design. The bell tower stands on the far left of the church and is a contemporary representation of an old belfry.
On the altar of the church is an image of the Virgin Mary, which comes from the altar of Santa Maria in the church of Sant Andreu. This image is made of alabaster and dates from the 15th century.
