Castle of Voltregà

The Castle of Voltregà is located next to the church of Sant Martí Xic, at the southern end of the Sant Martí mountain range, in the municipality of Les Masies de Voltregà.

The first documentary mention of the castle of Voltregà dates to 902.

Today, the castle of Voltregà is in ruins. The few visible remains are located at the top of a hill. At this point, you can see how the ground plan of the castle of Voltregà adapts to the topography of the land. A rectangular ground plan can be seen, as well as piles from the demolition of the castle.

From this point, there are also impressive views of the Plana de Vic.

Les Masies de Voltregà is located in the centre of the Plana de Vic, in the county of Osona. To reach this municipality you can do so via the C-17 and/or BV-4608 roads.
