Vilassar de Mar is a municipality located next to Barcelona, in the Maresme region.
Originally, Vilassar de Mar was the fishermen’s neighbourhood of Vilassar de Dalt. It was not until 1784 that Vilassar de Mar became an independent municipality.
Although Vilassar de Mar does not have a large municipal area, in this municipality you can find natural places of great beauty. In fact, in Vilassar de Mar there are some of the quietest and most family-friendly beaches in Catalonia!

Can Pau Godori
Can Pau Godoriis a moderniststylehousenextto Ca la Maria Espartera. This building is located on the seafront promenade of Vilassar de Mar, specifically at CamíRal Street, 17.
This house was built at the beginning of the 20th century, and the architect in charge of the construction of Can Pau Godori was Eduard Ferrés Puig.
This building has similar proportions on each floor. On the main façade of Can Pau Godori, one can see a decoration, on the first floor, made with four columns attached to the wall. These columns emerge from the first-floor balcony, which has three openings flanked by the columns. Six arches in relief can be seen at the top of the columns.
Another noteworthy element of Can Pau Godori is the wrought-iron railing of the first-floor balcony. This railing is highly decorated.
