Originally, Vilassar de Mar was the fishermen’s neighbourhood of Vilassar de Dalt. It was not until 1784 that Vilassar de Mar became an independent municipality.

In the town centre of Vilassar de Mar, specifically at Camí Ral Street, 20 in Vilassar de Mar, you can see a modernist style building.
This building is an old factory that was built in 1902 and is located on the seafront.
This building is symmetrical on a central axis. On the ground floor you can see three access doors. Above these doors, on the first floor, there are four windows. Both the doors and the windows are framed with a relief.
The building ends with a triangular pediment with the year of the building’s construction in the centre of the pediment.
